Vintage cocktail chair

Lately I'm kind of obsessed by this type of '50s cocktail chairs. They look so nice and adorable! Ouh, must sit so comfortable, with that big big cushion, seems like you will sink in it when you sit on it. Unfortunately they're quite rare I think, I don't really find much of them on the internet, and I also discovered that they're quite expensive (and actually I don't have any space left in my room, but that's not a big issue, I want them so bad I could easily make some space :D). Kind of a shame that I couldn't find any pictures of the chair when standing in a nice living space, maybe that's another reason I should buy a pair of these!

Norway/Sweden

Back from holiday in Sweden and Norway. Had a lot of fun, especially evening swims in the lake nearby. Our little house was really in the middle of nowhere, very quite and completely surrounded by nature. Of course this also meant that we spent a LOT of time in the car everyday, to get to places where there was something to do.
We also went to Oslo (for my birthday) for a day, a little bit short, what a BIG city! Or maybe it just felt that big because we were already not used to it anymore, after a week of separation from everything.. I was sooo looking forward to find some nice design shops -I love Scandinavian design!- but at the end of the day I only saw two or three little shops and not really what I expected, quite disappointing. Maybe I needed to plan it a little more, look them up on the internet before we went to Oslo.. Now back in Belgium, happy to be back -to be able to look things up on the internet, to talk to friends again- but a little bit missing the beautiful landscapes (and actually the beautiful weather too, it's raining in Belgium) and the peaceful, quite little villages.

Polaroid Impossible Project

Earlier this week I decided to try the new polaroid films of the Impossible Project (www.the-impossible-project.com). Their mission is to make new polaroid films, since the old ones are not made anymore, however it's still in a quite experimental state, I noticed. Six of the eight polaroid pictures that I took came out really crappy, blurry and not very beautiful. Of course I wasn't very happy about that, these films are quite expensive. So I went back to the shop I bought them, they said I needed to change and rechange the adjustments of my camera, until the pictures would come out nicely. In the end I decided to buy an other type of polaroid camera, since mine has only one slide button (for light adjustments) and there's not really anything to 'experiment' with actually :D, so! Yesterday I bought a Polaroid Close up 636, hopefully I will now be able to take some sharper pictures.. Excited to try it out!

View-master
This week my latest vintage find: a View-master! When I saw it, I instantly had flashbacks of my childhood, when I used to play ALOT with these things. I just love the 'old' colors and nice pictures, I was wondering if it would work out if you took a picture of it, and it did (well, not in 3D of course, but it's nice enough to me)

Now I want to make my own pictures, so I can look at them with my view-master. I really thought it was kind of impossible, but then I found a machine that actually makes a view-master reel with your own photos. Wauw, another thing I want to have..20100626
